Greek Super League club, Aris Thessaloniki FC have completed the signing of Oghenekaro Etebo on a permanent transfer.
The move put an end to Etebo’s four-year association with Sky Bet Championship club, Stoke City.
The 26-year-old penned a three-year contract with Aris Thessaloniki.
The club have won the Greek Super League title thrice.
Stoke City confirmed Etebo‘s move in a statement.
It wrote: “Stoke City can confirm that Peter Etebo has completed a permanent transfer to Greek side Aris. We would like to take this opportunity to wish Peter well for the future.”
The Nigeria international was loaned out thrice during his time with Stoke City.
Etebo spent time on loan at Getafe, Galatasaray and Watford.
His time at Watford last season was cut short by a long-term injury which hindered his chances of securing a permanent deal.
The midfielder started the Hornets’ opening six league games before the injury.
Etebo has been capped 44 times by Nigeria, with three goals to his name.
