Ede Asenoguan, Past Chairman of NBA Benin Felicitates Justice Mary Peter Odili on Her Birthday and Retirement from The Bench


It is indeed a great day for Hon. Justice Mary Peter Odili, the Judiciary and the legal profession as His Lordship marks her birthday and retirement from the Judiciary. The Valedictory Court Session marking the special event held today, 12th May, 2022 at the Supreme Court.

In reverence and appreciation for His Lordship’s contribution to the Judiciary and in celebration of her 70th birthday anniversary, Ede Asenoguan penned down a felicitation message which is hereunder reproduced:

“My Lord, it is a huge privilege to have the opportunity to pen down these words to you.

You are a great woman, one whose feats stands tall amongst equals. You dedicated the greatest part of your life in service to the Judiciary; from the Magistracy level up to the Supreme Court of Nigeria! Sir, you are success personified and a legal Amazon.

You defied all odds and achieved a no easy feat! And you proved to everyone especially the womenfolk that if they desire, work hard and remain focused, they too can achieve great heights.

I wish to also congratulate Your Lordship on the occasion of your 70th birthday, I wish Your Lordship many more happy years in good health and happiness.

Once more, Happy retirement-cum-happy birthday.
