Audio Visual Rights Society Honours Olu Jacobs And His Wife, Joke Silva

Veteran Nollywood actor, Olu Jacobs and his wife Joke Silva received Honourary awards from the Audio Visual Rights Society.

LAGOS HERALD reports actress Monalisa Chinda, shared the good news on her Instagram page, accompanied by photos and videos from the event.

According to Monalisa, watching Olu Jacob and his wife receiving the awards of honours was a stirring surge of emotion for her.

She added that the event was beautiful and prayed for the veteran actor.

She wrote: “That moment when I felt a stirring surge of emotions when we all (the board of directors of AVRS) Audio Visual Rights Society handed an award of Honors to Uncle Olu Jacobs and Aunty Joke Jacobs … at the Glover Memorial Hall, Lagos Island.

“It was beautiful.. God bless Uncle Olu …many more years to come Sir. @avrsnigeria our chairman @mahmoodalibalogun God bless you for all you do sir.”

Joke Silva Belongs To Old School

Veteran Nollywood actor, Patrick Doyle has showered praises on his colleague Joke Silva for her care towards her ailing husband, Olu Jacobs.

In the lengthy post shared on Facebook, Patrick said Joke does not share in the flawed philosophy of women telling their husbands that they will give them kind treatment in the twilight of their lives if they are faithful and devoted in their younger days.

The actor claimed that Joke would have still treated her husband with the same measure of love and devotion even if he was a philanderer and wife beater.

According to him, Joke would not take advantage of her husband’s vulnerability to torture him because she belongs to the old school where dignity and honour count and doing the right thing is not contingent upon reciprocity.
