APC VP candidate: Tinubu confirms submission to INEC, conceals identity

All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, has confirmed submitting running mate’s name to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

But Tinubu and his party have remained silent on the identity of the vice presidential candidate.

The media office of the former Lagos Governor provided an update Friday night.

The statement said the submission was in line with the stipulation of the electoral law, INEC guidelines and timetable.

“Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has returned his duly completed nomination forms to INEC.

“The forms were returned on Wednesday June 15, two days ahead of schedule,” it read.

The statement reiterated Tinubu’s readiness to contest the February 25, 2023 presidential election “to deliver progressive good governance” to Nigerians.
