2023: RMAFC chairman, Mbam picks Ebonyi governorship nomination form

The Chairman, Revenue Mobilization Allocation and Fiscal Commission, RMAFC, Chief Elias Mbam on Friday purchased the nomination and expression of interest forms to contest for Ebonyi State governor under the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

LAGOS HERALD gathered that Mbam is the first governorship aspirant that pick the APC nomination form, worth N50 million.

Mbam who spoke to stakeholders and supporters shortly after purchasing the form said he has already developed a blueprint to lift the state out of its present poverty level.

He said that the 2019 National Bureau of Statistics (NBC) poverty index of states that scored Ebonyi 87.02 per cent with poor citizens revealed a startling reality of the state’s poverty level, and would work to ensure that this is reversed between two to four years of his administration as governor.

“To all supporters, APC faithful and Ebonyians in general, we wish to inform you that it is official.

“Today, we purchased the nomination form to run for governor of Ebonyi State. This past week has been a wonderful one for us – filled with heartwarming news, everywhere, even though to many bystanders in Ebonyi, were concerned about what was going on, there seemed to be darkness, but for us, we knew that everything was working for good.

“We assure Ebonyi people, especially those who were thrown into despondency with the recent event of past days, to put a smile on their faces, for the Egyptians we see today, we shall see no more!” he stated.
